Minerva is a combination of a 2 meter high oak sculpture and a serpentine sculpture of approximately 25x25x6 cm. The sculpture stands within the oak branch. Minerva is a stylized black barn owl, sitting on a branch.

Minerva refers to the name of a Roman deity, a personification of the divine power of intellect, ingenuity, the human spirit, and wisdom. One of her attributes was an owl. Minerva was a peaceful god. Later, the Romans also saw her as the goddess of art and peace, but also of war.
